Saggio Story

Big Sky by Saggio a Very Unique Piece from 1980's

SAGGIO the ARTIST, was born during WWII and has been internationally recognized for over five decades. The early years included private study at the world-renowned Cleveland Institute of Art.

Then Saggio migrated to Italy and earned a Master of Arts degree.

Upon returning to the U.S., Saggio earned a Master of Fine Arts from Wayne State University and a Doctorate in Comparative Arts at Ohio University, then later served for years as the Art Department Chairman at Kendall College of Design.

Upon returning to Italy, Saggio took up residence in Florence and was subsequently introduced to Italy’s leading contemporary artist, Alfro Baldasari, at the Academia delle belle Arte. It was Baldesari who introduced Saggio to leading art critic Carlos Severa, who, when he saw Saggio’s talent and genius, insisted on promoting exhibitions throughout Europe.

Saggio’s list of exhibitions spans four decades, from 1965 to 2005. Best known for abstract contemporary oil paintings, many Saggio murals and paintings have been displayed in museums, galleries, and the lobbies of business headquarters all over the world. One notable commission is a magnificent mural displayed in the corporate offices of the J.M. Smuckers Company.”

At this time, the art collection is in a secure, environmentally controlled warehouse in Central Florida and is available for the first time to discriminating art collectors and investors.
